HR Manager Jo Fairchild explains why our impact in our communities is so important

By now, everyone who works for and with 4 Site Security, and has an interest in our business, will be becoming familiar with our company values of Support, Integrity, Trust, and Excellence. That’s great news and, going forward together, more and more we will make these values leap off the page, actively using them towards a common goal and constantly using them as a reminder that we share a bigger purpose.

Our values guide us in the kind of people we want to be and behave with each other while we are carrying out our work, and they also make us aware of the impact we want to have on society; be that economic, social or environmental. Aligning our company and personal values is going to make a positive contribution to 4 Site Security’s commercial development, how we develop as people in an emotionally healthy workplace, and how we build a legacy for future generations.

Already our people have been demonstrating social responsibility through their individual commitments. They have been helping provide food for people in need, looking after animals in shelters, growing and selling vegetables to raise funds for good causes, collecting money for charities that are close to their heart, and volunteering time to construct a children’s playground, for example.

4 Site Security will be fully supporting Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives by investing in giving people time to carry out approved activities, recognising these activities as part of performance and development, and promoting the great work of our colleagues through our communications channels. We believe that driving positive change and backing the workplace as a force for good will benefit our staff and customers and be a critical part of organisational success in an holistic approach to business.

Supporting the communities and world we live in benefits us all. As Vincent Van Gogh said: "Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.

No matter how big or small, please let your line manager know if you are already supporting a good cause or community initiative, or you have an idea for getting involved in any worthwhile projects.

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.
